A DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) floods a server with artificial traffic from many places at once, so the site stops responding to real visitors. Every DoSieci hosting account is protected against this type of attack at the network infrastructure level — before the traffic even reaches your site.
How infrastructure-level protection works
Network traffic reaching our servers is analyzed and filtered before it reaches individual hosting accounts. Sudden traffic spikes typical of volumetric attacks are absorbed at this early stage, so they don't burden your site or other accounts on the server. The servers' network connection is provisioned for throughput of up to 1 Gbit/s.
What this means for you
There's nothing for you to turn on or configure — protection is active from the start, on every hosting plan, from Eco to Pro. It works at the network level, so it doesn't depend on which content management system or security plugins you have installed on your site.
This is a different layer of protection from Imunify360, which operates higher up — at the application and file level. Together they complement each other: the infrastructure cuts off massive network traffic, while Imunify360 keeps watch over what's already happening inside your account.
