How Do I Get an AuthInfo Code?

Guide: How do I get an AuthInfo code?

Who can get an AuthInfo code?

The code is issued to the domain's registrant or to someone authorized to act on their behalf. The registrar may require identity verification, a signed request, or authorization from the address assigned to the account. The exact procedure depends on the registrar and the domain extension.

Before submitting a request, check that the registrant's details are up to date. Discrepancies between the account, the registry, and your documents can slow the process down. Treat the code as confidential information, since it's enough to start a transfer.

  • the request is submitted by the registrant or an authorized representative
  • the details must match the registry
  • only hand the code to the new registrar
  • don't post the AuthInfo code in a general support ticket

What should I do after receiving the code?

Enter it in the transfer form at the new registrar and complete the required confirmation. The code alone does not move your website or email. Before the transfer, save your current DNS zone and check the MX, SPF, and DKIM records, along with any entries used by external services.

Once the transfer is complete, check the renewal date and confirm that your website and email are working. If the DNS records stayed the same, the services should keep running without interruption.

Before the transfer, secure your DNS, website, and email

The AuthInfo code alone does not automatically move your website or mailboxes. That's why, before starting a transfer, it's worth saving your current DNS records, checking where your hosting actually runs, and deciding whether email should stay on the current server or move to DoSieci.pl.

Once the domain has been transferred, we can connect it to hosting in Plesk, turn on a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, create mailboxes, and check the MX, SPF, and DKIM records.
