Guide: How to Send a New Message in Webmail
What makes up a good message
In the recipient field, type the full address and double-check it before sending. The subject line should briefly describe what the message is about, and the body should include the context the recipient needs. Add attachments before sending and keep an eye on their size. For large files, it's better to share a secure link instead.
The CC and BCC fields are used to send copies. BCC hides recipients' addresses from each other and is the right choice when writing to a group of unrelated contacts.
- check the recipient's address
- add a clear subject line
- keep an eye on attachments
- use BCC for a group of unrelated recipients
Message not delivered
The bounce message usually explains the reason: a non-existent address, a full mailbox, an oversized attachment, or a rejection by security filters. Keep the error text, since you'll need it for diagnosis.
For delivery problems, check the domain's SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records as well as the server's reputation. Don't resend the same message repeatedly before the cause has been identified.
